Prior to the Nigeria
Embassy or Consulate Attestation some mandatory attestations are required on
the original document from the certain concerned Departments of Government of
India. A detailed procedure as well as the requirement of documents is
discussed hereunder for your ready reference.
Educational Document/ Certificate Attestation from Nigeria Embassy :
Procedure01
1.
Firstly, the Educational Certificate/ Document will be attested by
the State Level Attestation Department / General Administrative Department
(GAD) / Higher Education Department (HED) / Regional Attestation Center (RAC)
e. i. the Certificate or Document will be attested from the Indian State’s
Attestation Department from where it has been issued. For Example, if a Degree
Certificate has been issued from Calcutta University, then it will be attested
by the Regional Attestation Center (RAC), Kolkata. On the other hand, if the
Degree Certificate has been issued from Nagpur University, then the Degree
Certificate will be attested by the Higher Education Department (HED), Mumbai
and so on.

After completion the aforesaid said process the Educational
Certificate or Document will be attested by the Ministry of External Affairs
(MEA), Government of India.
3.
Finally, the Educational Certificate or Document will be attested
by the Nigeria Embassy or Consulate present in India.
Procedure02-
1.
Firstly the Educational
Certificate or Document will be attested by the Home Department, Mumbai (Mumbai
Mantralaya Attestation).
2.
After completion the above said process the Educational
Certificate or Document will be attested by the Ministry of External Affairs
(MEA), Government of India.
3.
Finally the Educational
Certificate or Document will be legalized by the Nigeria Embassy or Consulate
present in India.
Documents Required-
1. Original Educational
Document or Certificate.
2. Photocopy of mark sheets
(all years) is required.
3. Photocopy of Passport is required.
4. Two recent colour passport
size photograph of certificate holder.
5. Photocopy of job offer
letter is required, if any.
Time - The time frame could differ
from state to state as well as the title of the document and the name of the University from where the Certificate or Document has been issued.
Charges/ Fees - The total
charges/fees/rates/cost upto completion of Nigeria Embassy or Consulate attestation could differ from the type of Certificate or Documents as well as the state of
origin in India.
Non Educational Document/ Certificate Attestation from Nigeria Embassy :
Procedure 01
1. Firstly, the
Non-Educational Certificate or Document will be attested by the State Level
Attestation Department / General Administrative Department (GAD) / Regional
Attestation Center (RAC) e. i. the non-educational Certificate or Document will
be attested from the Indian State’s Attestation Department from where it has
been issued. For Example, if a Marriage Certificate has been issued from
Lucknow Municipality, then it will be attested by the Regional Attestation
Center (RAC), Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, if the Marriage
Certificate has been issued from Mumbai Municipality, then the Marriage
Certificate will be attested by the Home Department, Mumbai: Maharashtra and so
on.
2. After completion the above said process the Non-Educational Certificate
or Document will be attested by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA),
Government of India.
3. And Finally, the Non-Educational Certificate or Document will be attested by
the Nigeria Embassy or Consulate present in India.
Procedure 02
1. Firstly the Non-Educational Certificate or Document will be
attested by the Home Department, Mumbai (Mumbai Mantralaya).
2. After completion the above said process the Non-Educational Certificate
or Document will be attested by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA),
Government of India.
3. Finally the Non-Educational Certificate or Document will be legalized
by the Nigeria Embassy or Consulate present in India.
Documents Required-
1. Original Document/Certificate.
2.Photocopy of Passport is required.
Time - 7 to 10 Working Days.
Charges/ Fees - The total charges/fees/rates/cost upto completion of Nigeria Embassy or Consulate attestation could differ from the type of Certificate or Documents.
Commercial Document/ Certificate Attestation from Nigeria Embassy :
Procedure-
1. Firstly, the Commercial Certificate or Document will be attested
by the Chambers of Commerce(COC).
2. After completion the above said process the Commercial Certificate or
Document will be attested by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government
of India.
3. And Finally the Commercial Certificate or Document will be attested by
the Nigeria Embassy or Consulate present in India.
Documents Required-
1. Original Document/Certificate.
2.Authority Letter in the name of our Firm(Authorising us on behalf of your company/firm).
3. Covering Letter addressing the Embassy and stating the purpose of Attestation.
Time -7 to 10 Working Days.
